Constructed in the mountains of Kerala, India, Mattupetty Dam (also known as Madupetty Dam) is a storage concrete gravity dam used for hydroelectric power generation close to Munnar in the Idukki District.[1] E.U. Eravikulam National Park, situated in the High Ranges of the Southern Western Ghats in Kerala’s Idukki district, boasts the largest population of endangered Nilgiri tahr and is renowned for the Neelakurinji flower that blooms once every 12 years.
